ESCAPE, RELAX, HEAL
After an active morning outdoors, your dog will have a gourmet lunch and retreat for
Yankee Dog Retreat's signature Spa services. Spa body treatments restore balance,
harmony and health; induce relaxation while promoting well-being and deep mental
and physical relaxation. The Spa lasts one hour and includes the following healthy
and blissful services:

Teeth and gums are brushed thoroughly to maintain oral health. |

Wax and dirt are gently removed from the ears to inhibit infection, itching and mites. |

Coats are combed and brushed out to remove loose and matted hair and debris. |
|
Nails are shortened, if long, to prevent tearing and maintain proper foot placement. |
|
Using all natural products and steamed towels, rough foot pads are cleaned, oiled and wrapped for moisture. |
|
Herbal massage with stretching to release muscle tension and stiffness, as well as lower stress and anxiety. |
Since some dogs rarely have their teeth brushed and nails trimmed or have had
previous traumatic experiences, we cannot predict a dog's response to our efforts. We
will do our very best to provide all of our Spa services using our animal handling skills
and passive techniques unless a dog protests in earnest.
Following the massage your dog will drift off for a peaceful nap and awake energized to
begin the next play session.
